Graciellie Design at Word Art Wednesday - $15 Gift Card & Inspiration Projects

I am joining Word Art Wednesday Challenge today, together with some of Graciellie Design's Creative Team to showcase their weekly verse printable using our digital stamps. I decided to go for a subtle pool and white card with a touch of gray and Lapis Watercolor Deco Foil.

To view this and other new stamp sets click here.

I printed the verse using a laser printer and foiled the sentiment in Black Deco Foil, which is actually kind of matte. The foiling made the verse look bolder, added contrast and laminated the print. (It's a super nice effect.) The flowers were foiled with Lapis Watercolor Deco Foil which has blue, silver and champagne hues. By watercoloring the flowers in light blue it made the foiling look tone on tone... Very subtle and elegant. I used Zig markers to color the images.

The die cuts used are all from Spellbinders. I did a lot of die cut layering like in the old days. I added a piece of gray grossgrain ribbon to match the beautiful Laser Silver Lustre cardstock from Paper Temptress.

I invite you to head over to Word Art Wednesday Challenge to check out what the designers created with this beautiful verse and our stamps. WAW designers are featuring cards too, so there are a lot of project ideas for you! Oh, and there is a $15 Gift Card giveaway too so make sure to participate on this week's challenge for a chance to win new stamps!

Thanks for stopping by.

Watercolored Peony with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

I've been loving my Zig markers and have been using it so much lately! Today once again I'm sharing a beautiful emboss resist watercolored peony from Peaceful Peonies by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I used a color I don't usually use but it sure makes you think of Summer! I'm also using a couple of stunning papers from Paper Temptress today!

I do not use watercolor paper to color since I am unable to find it where I live, but I use a paper that does not absorb the water so much and I use little water and that does the trick. I'm guessing the paper (called Opalina), is very compressed or has a thin coating that makes it work well with watercolors. I used yellow, hot pink and a peachy pink to color the flowers and two tones of green for the leaves.

To make the flower look even fuller I added leaf die cuts in olive green and also some ferns in Gold Metallic Vellum. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on heavyweight vellum #48 in gold sparkle embossing powder which actually has glitter in it and gives the sentiment a lot of texture.

I love how the tangerine looks against that white textured background. The orange card base ties the elements on the card perfectly and makes the green from the leaves pop.

Thanks so much for visiting today. For more inspiration please make sure to subscribe to this and also to SNSS blog!

Trust in God with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Today I'm sharing a simple but versatile idea to mix and enhance your card front using 2 different stamp sets to create a focal sentiment and a verse to go along with it.

My card has a striking, beautiful color palette. The fun polka dot pattern on the background adds a fun touch to the card. This is a bright and feminine ensemble that says Summer all along.

The encouraging word and verse are perfect for the card front. I used one of the words from Words of Life as the focal sentiment and then I stamped right under it a verse from Peaceful Peonies.I framed the inspiring sentiment with decorative die cuts and a heat embossed peony I colored with watercolor markers.

I invite you to stop by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop to take a closer look at these and many other new stamps. The shop has also a 50% off stamp and die sale you might like too! For more inspiration remember to follow SNSS blog, where the designers share project ideas constantly!

I will be back soon with more to share from SNSS. Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss a thing.

Paper Temptress & Graciellie Design Team Up - Blog Hop + $40 in Prizes

We have so much inspiration for you today! Graciellie Design is teaming up with Paper Temptress for the day and we are all going to be sharing pure gorgeousness featuring stamps from our shop and stunning specialty papers from Paper Temptress. We'll be showing you techniques and tips on how to use digital stamps with these beautiful papers.

I am using today a stunning Opal Mica Metallic cardstock for my mixed media background that you can find on Paper Temptress online shop. The quality of these cardstock is amazing and with this project I was happy to discover that you can actually watercolor the mica cardstock and it's shimmer will show through. Amazing right? Also, I am featuring one of our new stamp sets: Hello Gorgeous. It includes a detailed flower image and beautiful modern sentiments.

I watercolored both the flowers and the background with Stampin' Up Watercolor Crayons in Earth Tones. I added touches of Gold Deco Foil here and there using a Deco Foil Adhesive Pen which gives the background a distressed look. I framed my card front with a bit of dotted patterned paper and a piece of May Arts lace and leaves to add a delicate touch. The sentiment was foiled in vellum and cut into a small banner. This card gives me countryside vibes!

Since we've gotten together to celebrate a blog hop we thought we would also share a couple of amazing prizes... Both Paper Temptress and I are giving away one $20 gift card each. All you have to do is stop by each blog listed below and leave a comment for a chance to win!
